COLLEGE PARK, MD – Coming off a thrilling win over No. 24 Ohio State, thanks in part to 30 points from Jahmir Young, Maryland returns to action on Sunday at Iowa. After being ranked the last six weeks, Maryland fell out of the AP Top 25 Poll, but is still receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The game will be televised on BTN starting at 4:30 p.m., while fans can also listen to the Maryland Sports Network (1300 AM – Baltimore, The TEAM 980 AM – Washington, D.C., Sirius XM 382, One Maryland App) with Voice of the Terrapins Johnny Holliday (play-by-play) and Chris Knoche (analyst) calling the action.


Maryland enters Sunday’s game at No. 39 in the current NCAA NET rankings with two Quad 1 wins (Miami, Ohio State) and two Quad 2 wins (Saint Louis, Illinois). A total of 13 games for the Terps are currently Quad 1. The Terps have been as high as No. 6 in the NET and as high as No. 13 in the AP Top 25 Poll.

This season, he has a three of 20-plus point games including a season-high 30 against No. 24 Ohio State. In the stretch of Illinois, Wisconsin, and No. 7 Tennessee, he averaged 19.7 points. He is also the fourth-leading rebounder (4.9) and has the fourth-most blocked shots (9) on the team.
  • Young is the nation’s 13th-ranked active career scorer with at 16.4 point per game average and the 42nd ranked player in overall points (1,660).
