It was a fun night to be an Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Caitlin Clark had another historic night and No. 9 Iowa absolutely smacked Northwestern, winning 93-64.
Clark knocked down 4-of-8 3-pointers to finish with a team-high 20 points. In the process, she became the No. 2 scorer in Hawkeyes history, surpassing Ally Disterhoft. The West Des Moines native is just two 3-pointers away from another milestone, too.
Clark two 3-pointers shy of the being second all-time in made 3-pointers in school history. She has scored 20 points or more 16 times this season, extended her streak of scoring in double figures to 69 gamesย and has netted a 3-point basket in 36 straight games.
Clark also added 14 assists and nine rebounds to collect her 32nd career double-double.
Monika Czinano actually jumped up into fourth place in Iowaโs career points list herself, surpassing Cindy Haugejorde. Czinano finished with 18 points and six rebounds.
โWe have played back-to-back games really well. I was happy with how we brought the intensity from the jump. We shot over 50% from the field in all four quarters which is something weโll take every night. I was pleased with how we played and weโre looking forward to Penn State on Saturday,โ Iowa head womenโs basketball coach Lisa Bluder said afterwards.
Iowa led by as many as 31 points and now will turn their attention to Penn State on Saturday inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena at 11:30 a.m. CT.
