ASU Men’s Hoops Picks Up Ninth Straight Win, Beats San Diego 91-67

San Francisco

TEMPE – Ariz. – Five players scored in double-figures, paced by Desmond Cambridge Jr.’s 23 (18 in the first half), as the Arizona State men’s basketball team extended their winning streak to nine in a 91-67 victory over the San Diego Toreros.

The Sun Devils used a 16-4 scoring stretch that circumvented halftime to pull away from San Diego after the Toreros had fought off a seven point disadvantage in the first half. ASU then went on a 18-2 stretch that finished with less than five minutes to play in regulation, moving ahead by 20 in the process and snapping any hopes of a San Diego comeback.

The five men in double figures marked the first time since Nov. 14, 2019 that five Sun Devils had at least 10 points. Frankie Collins (12 points, 11 assists) and Devan Cambridge (13 points, 11 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles, the second and third of ASU’s season. It is the first time Arizona State had two double-doubles in the same game since Dec. 19, 2021 vs. San Francisco.
