UC Riverside Bested by Utah on the Road, 92-45

Texas Tech

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Highlanders traveled to Utah to challenge an out of state PAC 12 opponent, the University of Utah Utes, in the middle of a four-game road stretch that most recently saw them in action against Pepperdine.

The Highlanders struggled early against the Utes, as they were held to just six points in the first quarter and nine in the second, with Utah scoring 43 points total in the first half. The early deficit would prove insurmountable for the Highlanders, and the Utes took the game 92-45.

Mele Finau left it all on the court, leading the Highlanders offensively with a 15-point two-rebound game. Matehya Bryant led UC Riverside defensively, with eight boards in addition to her eight points, putting her right behind Finau as the teams second highest scorer of the game.

Next, the Highlanders head south to Texas to face Texas Tech on December 22 at 12 PM PT.
