Armando Bacot injury update vs. Georgia Tech

Armando Bacot dealing with shoulder injury against Indiana

The North Carolina Tar Heels are looking to end their losing streak as they play their first Atlantic Coast Conference home game of the year.

UNC is on a four-game losing streak and has fallen out of the AP Top 25 poll after opening up as preseason favorites. After losses to Iowa State and Alabama at the PK80, they dropped road games at Indiana and Virginia Tech last week. But alas, here’s a chance to start to turn this thing around and there’s a chance their best player could return for the game.

Head coach Hubert Davis met the media ahead of Saturday’s home game against Georgia Tech and provided some key injury updates, including forward Armando Bacot. Davis told the media that Bacot is β€˜trending up’ and there’s a chance he could play Saturday:

Bacot has been bothered by injuries this season, dealing with an ankle injury early on and now having a shoulder injury. He didn’t play against Virginia Tech as the team announced minutes before the game.

Getting Bacot back would be huge for the Tar Heels, especially for a team that needs to turn things around in a hurry. However, the Tar Heels have to be careful not to rush him back too soon and risk further injury.
