Syracuse Hosts Coppin State Thursday Night

The Syracuse women’s basketball team (6-2) will host Coppin State (2-7) on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome. Fans can watch the game live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) through the ESPN app. Thursday is Syracuse’s Give Back Game, the team will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Samaritan Center in Syracuse.

Last Sunday, the Orange beat Yale in a 60-58 comeback win, securing their first road game win under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. Senior Dyaisha Fair led the Orange in scoring with 15 points in the second half to finish with 17 for her eighth game in double figures this season. Dariauna Lewis had 16 points and Georgia Woolley scored a season-high of 11 points in the win.

The Orange are averaging 75.0 ppg this season and are shooting 41.6 percent from the field. They are outscoring opponents by 12.4 points per game while Coppin State is averaging 54.7 ppg. The Eagles are shooting 33.5 percent from the field and 23.8 percent from beyond the arc.

The Eagles suffered a heartbreaking 84-81 loss to William & Mary last Sunday in overtime. Two CSU players scored career-highs, Jewel Watkins had 35 points and Hope Evans tallied 12 points. Jalynda Salley also scored in double figures with 10 points. Coppin State led, 81-80, during overtime until William & Mary took the lead with two free throws and held on to win by three.

Fans unable to attend Thursday’s game can watch live on ACCNX or listen on ESPN Syracuse radio (97.7 FM). Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

Season tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 888-DOME-TIX, or by visiting The Dome box office located at Gate B. General admission season tickets start at $99 per seat and reserved courtside seating begins at $200 with first row courtside seats priced at $250 per seat. Single game tickets purchased in advance begin at $10 for General Admission or $25 for Courtside Reserved and all student tickets are FREE with a Syracuse University student ID.
