The Boston Celtics made the trip to the Manhattan Mecca that is the Madison Square Garden home of the New York Knicks to play the second half of a back-to-back without big man Al Horford, taking the night off while resting a stiff back. Boston had no issues sans the Florida alum with a record-setting night from beyond the arc for the Celtics, who shot 27-of-51 from deep against the Knicks on Saturday night.
It was enough to overcome New York’s dominance on the boards and hand the team a 133-118 victory, and Boston making each and every one of their dozen attempts at the charity stripe did not hurt either.
Let’s take a look at what NBA and Celtics Twitter had to say about the win, which puts Boston’s record at 6-3, good enough for sole possession fo third place in the league’s Eastern Conference.

Luke Kornet not with the team tonight for personal reasons. That’s why we haven’t seen him on the floor yet. #Celtics
