Wisconsin basketball F Tyler Wahl named to prestigious preseason watch list

Where Tyler Wahl landed on Andy Katz’s list of top Big Ten players

In each of his three years as a Badger, Tyler Wahl has grown on both ends. Now as a senior, the Minnesota native projects as one of Wisconsin’s leaders and most versatile defensive weapon.

As a junior, Wahl averaged career-highs in points (11.4), rebounds (5.9), and minutes per game (30.5) while serving as a do-it-all forward.

He is deservedly earning some preseason hype, as Wahl was named to the Julius Erving Award watch list given annually to the best small forward in the country. Expect Wahl to get heavy minutes and usage for the Badgers while often guarding the opponent’s best forward and cleaning up the glass.
