Graves Adds Luaulu-Summers To Oregon WBB Staff

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon women’s basketball head coach Kelly Graves announced the hiring of GeAnna Luaulu-Summers on Friday as the Ducks’ new director of creativity and student-athlete support.

Luaulu-Summers joins Graves’ staff after spending the 2021-22 season as an assistant coach at Pacific, her alma mater.

“We are really excited to have Geanna join our program,” Graves said. “I love the experience she brings us both from her playing background and the work she has done on staff at Pacific in multiple roles. She’s young and energetic, and I think she will really connect with our student-athletes well. She really impressed us throughout the process and was kind of a no-brainer for us, so we’re really looking forward to getting her to Eugene and getting started.”

Luaulu-Summers finished her collegiate career in 2018 as one of the most prolific scorers in Pacific program history, ranking sixth on the all-time scoring list with 1,322 points. She was a back-to-back all-West Coast Conference first-team selection in her final two seasons.

“I am so excited to be joining the Duck family,” Luaulu-Summers said. “Really grateful to be working with some of the best athletes and staff in the country. I’m looking forward to getting started and bringing more championships to Oregon.”

After graduating from Pacific, Luaulu-Summers played professionally overseas with the Lakeside Lightning of the Australia-State League, where she led the Lightning to a 16-6 record while averaging 16.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game on 40.7 percent shooting.

Luaulu-Summers returned to Pacific in 2019-20 as the team’s digital media specialist, holding that role before serving as an assistant coach in 2021-22.
