Expect excitement from Trevon Brazile

Eric Musselman didn’t waste any time finding a gem in the transfer portal once the 2021-22 season concluded.

A 6’10” sophomore out of Missouri, Trevon Brazile brings his size, athleticism, and pro potential to a Razorback program that reached the Elite Eight the last two seasons.

It only took 72 hours after the Razorbacks’ elite eight loss to sign Brazille, who Musselman believe is one of the best stretch-fours in the country.

The Razorbacks will travel to Spain and Italy next month for exhibition games, with the NCAA allowing them to conduct ten summer practices leading up to the August 6-16 European tour. Brazile has turned heads within the social media world during these practices, which have been open to the media.

“Brazile is a really, really, really unique player,” Musselman said. “He’s one of our best shooters. He’s really good on the perimeter. Probably his position on the next level is as small forward. We’ll play him primarily at the four because we have 4 centers. But he will play some center, probably really early even on this four-game European tour when we try to play small ball.”

Brazile fuels the Razorbacks’ final four aspirations with his experience. Musselman didn’t have the eye-popping numbers against the Razorbacks, but it was enough to make him a top priority for transfers.

While attending Missouri, Brazile averaged 6.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, and shot 33% from three-point land in 23 starts. With the Razorbacks, he is expected to have a significant role in the rotation, joining a roster that lost most of its experience in the starting lineup.

“I definitely feel like I have more confidence both defensively and offensively,” said Brazile. “With the kind of team we’ve got, we like to get out in space and run in the open floor. Me being long and versatile, that’s what I like to do is get out in the open floor and run. So just being with other guys who know how to play and like to play at a fast pace really helps.”
