Warriors Sign Lacrosse Star Pat Spencer To Training Camp Deal

Warriors To Sign Quinndary Weatherspoon To Two-Way Contract

The Golden State Warriors have signed Pat Spencer to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. Spencer played part of last season for the Capital City Go-Go of the G League.

Spencer is most well-known for being an NCAA lacrosse star while at Loyola University. Spencer was a three-time finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, before winning the trophy as a senior. The award honors the top collegiate lacrosse player, similar to the Heisman Trophy in football or the Wooden Award in basketball.

Following his time at Loyola, Spencer transferred to Northwestern University for a post-graduate year. In one season for the Wildcats, Spencer averaged 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists.

Before joining the Go-Go, Spencer played part of a season for the Hamburg Towers in Germany. The 6-foot-3 guard played for Washington at Las Vegas Summer League earlier this month, averaged 6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and four assists in 13.1 minutes per game.
