Purdue Draws Syracuse for ACC/Big Ten Challenge

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women’s basketball team will square off with Syracuse at Mackey Arena on Nov. 30 for the 2022 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The matchup will be the first meeting between the two clubs in history.

Tip time and TV assignment will be announced later.

The showdown is first home non-conference game that has been unveiled for the 2022-23 season. Season tickets are still available for Mackey Arena. Purdue has a 4-11 all-time record in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Last season, Jeanae Terry banked in a floater from the lane at the buzzer to lift Purdue to a 53-52 win over Georgia Tech at Mackey Arena.

The Boilermakers went 17-15 under Gearlds in her first season last year, reaching the second round of the WNIT. All-Big Ten honorable mention honorees Madison Layden, Jeanae Terry and Abbey Ellis headline a roster that features eight returners and five newcomers.

The Orange finished 11-18 overall last year and 4-14 in the ACC. Syracuse named former Indiana head coach Felisha Legette-Jack as its head coach in March.
