According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the UNC basketball program will travel to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers as part of the 2022 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. This comes after Bacot and Jackson, two of the best returning frontcourt players in the country, discussed the possibility of this matchup on social media just a few weeks prior.
You know it’s going down @accmbb @B1GMBBall make it happen https://t.co/OldUtjK0hu

Did the two players have something to do with this pairing? Well, it could be possible. Maybe the committee took their advice and realized that this would be a primetime matchup in the annual event.
North Carolina and Indiana will battle on the basketball court for the first time in six years. The Hoosiers got the better of the Tar Heels in their last matchup on November 30, 2016, as they defended their home court with a 76-67 victory.
In that matchup, Justin Jackson led all scorers with 21 points. OG Anunoby led the Hoosiers with 16 points, as he made six of his eight shots from the floor.
North Carolina has struggled a bit against Indiana, as they are 2-4 over their six all-time matchups. Their last win over the Hoosiers came during the 2016 NCAA Tournament, as the Marcus Paige-led Tar Heels advanced to the Elite 8 with a dominant 101-86 victory.
As the Big Ten has won the previous three challenges, the Tar Heels will look to do their part to help the ACC get back on top this season. It will certainly be a game to watch, as the matchup between Bacot and Jackson alone will draw major headlines throughout the college basketball world.
