Del Jones got an offer from Rutgers basketball last week, putting the Scarlet Knights into a recruiting battle with several other top programs. The talented guard is excited by the Big Ten offer and hopes to visit the Rutgers basketball program over the summer.

He also is ranked as the third-best player in Virginia.

Bishop O’Connell went 18-13 last year.

On Wednesday, Rutgers offered Jones. The soon-to-be junior posted about the offer on social media.

The addition of Griffiths gives Rutgers the highest-ranked recruit in Steve Pikiell’s tenure as head coach.
