Steph Curry and the Warriors showed a lot of pride in victory over C’s

Pride was something Stephen Curry mentioned during his interview post-game with the ESPN crew: “A lot of pride in our group.”

What Curry did on Friday night was historic and one of his best games in his career as he scored 43 points on 14-for-26 shooting and he drilled seven triples. However, the entire Warriors team deserves to feel pride after a very good all-around performance.

The defense more than anything stood out. The Boston Celtics were limited to 19 4th quarter points. And in the last 5:15 of the game, the Celtics shot 1-for-8 from the field. Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum were forced to take tough shots and didn’t make most of them down the stretch. The Warriors had a tough night offensively, outside of Curry, but they made up for it with great team defense and rebounding.

He went on to say, “It’s crazy because I still feel like we can play just a little bit better”. After a great team win, it’s hard to imagine the team playing better than they did on Friday, but sky is the limit when Curry plays the way that he did and the Warriors defense steps up down the stretch.

Per Golden State Warriors Twitter via ESPN:

“A lot of Pride in our group. A lot of talk over the past 48 hours about how we can get back into this series. It’s crazy because I still feel like we can play just a little bit better.”

As the Warriors prepare for Game 5 on Monday night, they will have to lean on Curry and the pride they showed as a group as they look to move to within one game of another NBA championship.
