The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the older franchises in the NBA with their history spanning all the way back to the 1949-50 season. With that much time under their belt in the NBA, they have had a ton of players come through and make their impact on the City of Brotherly Love.
With it now being the offseason, now is a time to go through some of that Sixers history. In this edition, Sixers Wire is going to make a list of the eight players who have worn the No. 54 jersey in the history of the franchise. This will be a running series to go through all of the uniform numbers worn for Philadelphia.
With that being said, here are those eight players who wore No. 54:
Luke Jackson, 1965-72

The most accomplished member on this list, Jackson was a 1-time All-Star and he was a member of Philadelphia’s 1967 championship team. He averaged 9.9 points and 8.8 rebounds across his eight seasons with the Sixers.
Dale Schlueter, 1973

Schlueter spent one season in Philadelphia and averaged 5.4 points and 4.5 rebounds for the 9-73 Sixers.
Ben Coleman, 1989

Coleman was acquired in the 1987-88 season and he wore No. 40 that season before switching to No. 54 in the 1988-89 season. He averaged 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds during his time with the Sixers.
Ed Pinckney, 1996

Pinckney (pictured right of Orlando’s Shaquille O’Neal) played in 27 games for the Sixers, starting 23 of them, and he averaged 5.6 points and 6.5 rebounds. He was released that summer and signed with the Miami Heat.
Brian Skinner, 2002-03 and 2005
