Are the Celtics be favorites vs. the Bucks without Khris Middleton?

Should the Boston Celtics be considered favorites heading into their series with the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals? The reigning NBA champions are going to be without their second-leading scorer in All-Star forward Khris Middleton, but the Celtics are also managing a tight hamstring in their own star forward, Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics made quick work of the 2022 preseason favorites in the first round of their postseason play, dispatching the Brooklyn Nets in 4 games and sending stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving into their offseason while the Bucks needed an additional game to put away a lesser, banged-up Chicago Bulls squad after appearing to duck the Nets in the playoffs at the end of the regular season.

The hosts of NBC Sports Boston’s “Early Edition” Trenni Kusnierek, Chris Forsberg, and Tom Giles were joined by CLNS Media’s Jeff Goodman to talk about the second-round series, and which team might have the advantage going into Game 1.
