CU Buffs crack Joe Lunardi’s early 2023 bracketology

March Madness just ended. Yet, it is never too early to start thinking about next season.

Recently, Joe Lunardi of ESPN dropped his way-too-early bracketology for the 2022-23 season.

In it, the Colorado Buffaloes are one of the last four in, along with Florida, Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s. As such, Lunardi has Colorado and Saint Mary’s battling it out in an 11-seed play-in game.

It’s early, but this is encouraging for Tad Boyle and the Buffs, especially with all of the players leaving in the transfer portal and Jabari Walker declaring for the NBA draft.

Still, things are trending in the right direction for the Buffs after a first-round loss in the NIT to St. Bonaventure.

At the end of the season, they defeated Arizona in the best moment of the year, by far.

A total of five Pac-12 teams made the field in Lunardi’s early predictions, and Washington State, which is coming off a strong NIT run, was one of the last four out.

Nonetheless, things are trending in the right direction, and Lunardi having them in the field right now is a huge testament.
