A look at the year that was for JD Notae

As the offseason for College Basketball begins, Razorbacks Wire will reflect on the season for every player on the 2021-22 Arkansas Basketball roster.

Over the offseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how they got to Arkansas, and how they performed for Eric Musselman last season.

Next on the list is JD Notae.

JD Notae had quite the turnaround in his second season at Arkansas, taking on a completely different role from the year before.

Transferring from Jacksonville prior to the 2020-21 season, Notae was used primarily off the bench during his junior campaign, appearing in 32 games with only one start. He made the most of his limited role by averaging 12.8 and 3.1 rebounds per game.

He elevated his game in 2021-22 by starting in 35 of 36 games played and boosting his numbers. During his final season at Arkansas, Notae led the team in scoring with 18.3 points per contest and pulled down 4.5 rebounds per outing.

Next up for Notae is the NBA. He announced on April 3 his intentions to declare for the Draft, as well as hire an agent, meaning that he can not return to Arkansas for what would be his super-senior season.
