Jerami Grant will miss the Detroit Pistons’ remaining seven games this season due to a left calf strain, the team announced on Monday.
The injury occurred during the first quarter of Friday’s home loss to the Washington Wizards. Grant exited the game with 4:30 to play in the quarter. It isn’t clear exactly when or how Grant strained his calf.

This season, Grant averaged 19.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in just 47 games played β a career-low. A torn ligament in his right thumb and a COVID-19 infection caused him to miss 24 consecutive games from Dec. 12 until Jan. 30, and he also missed two games due to right knee inflammation earlier this month, and a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 25 because of a left elbow infection.
