ATLANTA – Indiana duo junior forward Mackenzie Holmes and senior guard Grace Berger were named Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Region finalist for 2022 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America.
Holmes earns her first all-region honor from the association while Berger earns her second, also appearing in the 2020-21 season.
Berger is the team’s leading scorer with 16.3 points per game. She adds 6.3 rebounds, a team-high 4.8 assists, 1.4 steals and holds a +2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. The Louisville, Ky. native shoots 45.2 percent from the floor and 79.1 percent at the charity stripe. She has recorded 29 games in double figures this season and tied a team-high three double-doubles. She repeated as an All-Big Ten first team selection in 2021-22 and earned spots on a plethora of watch lists including the 2022 Wooden Award…
