Michael Malone and the Denver Nuggets have inked an extended partnership for years to come. Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the terms of the contract were not disclosed
Malone assumed responsibility of leading the Nuggets in 2015, as he helped the promising squad to reach the playoffs in the past three years. His coaching strategies lifted Denver on its second conference finals appearance in 11 years, outlasting the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2020 West Semis via historic 3-1 comeback within the NBA bubble.
Prior to signing, Malone still has one more season left in his contract. As such, the agreement on both sides have cemented a mutual commitment to reach the ultimate goal of winning their first championship, as reigning MVP Nikola Jokic continues to enjoy the continuing years of his prime.
