What to Know
The Eastern Michigan Eagles are 3-10 against the Akron Zips since January of 2016, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Eagles and Akron will face off in a Mid-American battle at 3 p.m. ET at George Gervin GameAbove Center. Both teams looked pretty sloppy on the offensive side of the ball the last time they faced off, scoring just 90 points combined.
EMU received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 83-69 to the Buffalo Bulls.
Meanwhile, Akron was close but no cigar on Thursday as they fell 66-63 to the Northern Illinois Huskies. What made the defeat an especially bitter pill for Akron to swallow was that they had been favored by 12.5 points coming into the matchup.
