The Hampton Pirates won both of their matches against the Presbyterian Blue Hose last season (62-57 and 67-65) and are aiming for the same result on Monday. Hampton will stay at home another game and welcome Presbyterian at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 7 at Hampton Convocation Center. The Blue Hose will be strutting in after a win while the Pirates will be stumbling in from a defeat.
The contest between Hampton and the Winthrop Eagles this past Saturday was not a total blowout, but with Hampton falling 69-57 at home, it was darn close to turning into one.
Meanwhile, Presbyterian was able to grind out a solid victory over the Radford Highlanders this past Saturday, winning 78-70.
