Lucky-seven wins till Pop takes the record: However, the Spurs luck hasn't been so hot this season.

The San Antonio Spurs season this far has been well… not so good based on their record, but I’m here to tell you that there are some silver linings.

Despite the team’s .500 record, the young-led squad has been able to grow, gain experience, learn, and they will surely use these tough times to mold them into better players.

However, one of the biggest silver linings is head coach Gregg Popovich is seven games away from becoming the all-time winningest coach.

For those who are unfamiliar, if the Spurs bring home seven more wins this season, Pop will sit at 1,336 wins all-time and will be the quickest coach ever to complete such feat.

Once Pop has gotten the record, I predict the one-word Pop will use in his post-game interview to describe his career will be the word “luck”.

I believe Pop feels without the support from the front office, players that came through year-in and year-out, and lucky breaks that there may be no all-time winningest coach in San Antonio.
