Kansas survives scare as No. 7 Jayhawks rally past Kansas State on Ochai Agbaji's game-winner in final seconds

Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji hit a floater with nine seconds remaining as the No. 7 Jayhawks overcame a 16-point halftime deficit on the road to defeat rival Kansas State 78-75. Agbaji’s game-winner, which gave Kansas a one-point lead, gave the Jayhawks their first lead since Kansas held a 7-5 advantage in the first half.

Just seconds earlier, it looked like Agbaji might not get that chance. Down three points with under a minute remaining, the senior and All-America candidate was fouled shooting an apparent 3-pointer, though the officials ruled that he was only shooting two. Agbaji made both free throws, but Kansas still trailed 75-74.

Kansas State had two shots on the next possession, but neither fell, setting up Agbaji’s game-winner.

He added to the margin a couple seconds later with a pair of free throws.
