Titans Come Up Short in Overtime Against Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball lost to UC Santa Barbara in overtime Saturday afternoon by a final score of 70-78. The Titans are now 6-7 on the season and 1-2 in Big West play. 

With the Titans trailing 63-65 and under one minute remaining in the game Fujika Nimmo drove to the rim and finished a layup to tie the game. Nimmo then tied the game at 67 with under 30 seconds remaining to send it to overtime. 

Nimmo scored 16 points on 7-of-17 from the floor to go along with four rebounds and two assists. Lily Wahinekapu had a team-high 17 points while dishing out seven assists and grabbing three rebounds.
