Knicks takeaways from Wednesday’s 108-85 win over Mavericks, including a balanced attack

Coming off an impressive win over the Spurs, the Knicks defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 108-85, on Wednesday night.

The Knicks put out Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Evan Fournier and Alec Burks. During the pre-game introduction of the starting five, there was a smattering of boos from the Madison Square Garden crowd towards Randle.

Here are the takeaways…

– The Knicks got off to a good start with a Fournier three, but despite plenty of offensive rebounds, the team wasn’t able to take advantage of the Mavericks’ turnover-ridden start only going out to a 5-0 lead before Luca Doncic got his team on the board. From there both teams would exchange leads with Robinson getting some easy dunks thanks to great passing from Barrett and Fournier.
