CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women’s basketball team fell 53-42 to Mount Mercy University on Monday evening. The Kohawks scored just ten points in the first two quarters to trail the hosts 23-10 after 20 minutes. Coe battled back in the second half, cutting its deficit to five points early in the third but Mount Mercy handled the pressure to secure the victory. The loss drops Coe to 4-9 overall and 3-6 in non-conference action while Mount Mercy improves to 5-11 on the year.
