LEBANON, Ill. – The McKendree University women’s basketball team will open the New Year on Sunday, Jan. 2 with a 1 p.m. contest against the University of Southern Indiana in Great Lakes Valley Conference action at Melvin Price Convocation Center.
Sunday’s game will be the first of the 2022 calendar year for the Bearcats and also the first game for McKendree since closing its 2021-22 non-conference slate with a 54-29 loss at Northwest Missouri State on Wednesday, Dec. 15.
McKendree comes into its first game of 2022 with a 1-9 overall record and an 0-3 mark in the GLVC. The Bearcats have lost five straight games since collecting a 90-71 home win on Nov. 23 over Blackburn College.
