BOSTON, Mass. – The Brandeis University women’s basketball team used a balanced attack to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 2009-10 tonight as the Judges defeated Emerson College, 75-53, in their first road game of the campaign. The Lions fall to 1-4 with the loss.
Brandeis led nearly wire-to-wire, placing four scorers in double digits. Leading the way was junior forward Kerry Tanke (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan), who tied her career-high with 15 points in just 18 minutes of action. She hit 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-5 from the line. Sophomore Christina Bacon (Scituate, R.I. / LaSalle Academy) came off the bench to score 12 points, doubling her total from her previous two games, on 4-of-6 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe.
