The North Carolina Tar Heels enter a very important stretch of their season beginning this week when they travel to face off against Pitt. Coming off a 1-1 week in which UNC could have been 0-2, the Tar Heels will host the Panthers in what feels like another must-win game for UNC.
Sitting on the bubble, North Carolina needs to stack wins as much as they can. And almost every game is a must-win for this program. That’s especially the case coming off a win against Boston College but not looking good while doing so.
Pitt comes into this game with a 13-6 record and a win over Syracuse on the road Saturday. Prior to that, they had lost three straight games and were sort of reeling. Jeff Capel’s team was ranked at one point this season and they did start the ACC schedule off with a win over Virginia Tech in December. But since then, they have gone 3-4 in conference play.
