Coach Dwayne Killings: “We talked about trying to put pressure on Georgetown. I thought it was a game we could compete in without our two most competitive guys, DeMarr Langford Jr. and Byron Joshua were not available. I thought we had the energy early, and I thought when they punched back, we kind of unraveled and lost the spirit that we wanted to have. A big part to it was we were changing defenses and they [Georgetown] finally got a good rhythm on that, and then I thought they started to overplay”.
Key Stats:
- Amar’e Marshall and Kheni Briggs led UAlbany offense with 17 points each.
- Marshall went 3-7 in field goals. 2-3 at the three and 9-10 at the free throw line with four steals, two assists and one rebound.
