Wisconsin basketball (6-0) will look for an early-season tournament title on Sunday when it faces Pittsburgh (6-0) in the Greenbrier Tip-Off final.

The Badgers defeated UCF 86-70 on Friday to reach the title game. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, handled LSU 74-63.

The matchup appears to be a great one on paper. Wisconsin enters ranked No. 30 in both ESPN BPI and KenPom, while Pittsburgh is up at No. 20 and No. 13, respectively.

Wisconsin already has a signature win over Arizona under its belt and enters ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll. Pitt is yet to be truly tested. Its best win is arguably that 11-point neutral site victory over LSU on Friday.

Wisconsin shot 48.5% from the field, 32% from three and 75% from the free throw line in its win over UCF. The more important side of the court was on defense, as the Badgers held the Knights to just 34% shooting and 12% from three. Wisconsin’s shooting and efficiency traveled to the new gym setting, UCF’s did not.

The Badgers are battle-tested with early-season wins over Arizona and UCF. The three-point win over UT-Rio Grande should also help as more close games inevitably follow. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, has not been tested. Its closest game was the 11-point win over LSU (No. 51 in KenPom).

The Panthers may be the toughest opponent of Wisconsin’s season to date. Given the recent trends, I’d still pick the Badgers to win and cover.
