The Philadelphia 76ers have been the early winners of the offseason after landing Paul George in free agency to bring him to the City of Brotherly Love. They also were able to add some depth pieces in Eric Gordon and Andre Drummond to continue their team building.
However, there is still work to do. At the moment, the Sixers don’t have a starting power forward. They have an elite trio in George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, but they still need to fill out the rest of the roster in an effort to build a complete team around their stars. That is going to be the big challenge for the future.
Here are six options the Sixers can look at as they move forward with this important offseason:

The Sixers have reportedly had some exploratory interest in Finney-Smith who they would have to trade for from the Brooklyn Nets. The Sixers could use a guy who can knock down an open 3 and also be a pest on the defensive end. He is something of a glue guy and he did some good things for both the Nets and the Dallas Mavericks in the past. He has winning experience and would be a nice addition to Philadelphia.

Highsmith, a former Philadelphia 76er, had a very nice 2023-24 season. He shot 39.6% from deep and averaged 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds for the Miami Heat. He is the perfect 3-and-D complement to the current roster and the Sixers have to at least give him a look and consider him as an option. He has improved leaps and bounds since entering the league.

Bey had his season cut short due to injury, but he averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Atlanta Hawks. He had a down season shooting the ball. He shot 31.6% from deep which is well below his career 3-point shooting percentage of 35.2% so one has to figure that he will bounce back in the coming season. He does a lot of the dirty work on the defensive end and on the glass and he is an aggressive offensive player.

Fontecchio would be something of a last-resort option for the Sixers, but he shot the ball extremely well in the 2023-24 season. He took 5.1 3-pointers per game and shot 40.1% in his time split between the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons.
