The chance of a fourth NBA media rights package is “as dead as it can be,” according to John Ourand of Puck (h/t Sports Media Watch).
Sources cite the chances of the league creating another package at around 1%.
A fourth package was seen as a way for Warner Bros. Discovery to keep a piece of the NBA.
Ourand reports that a fourth package would have led to the other three bidders to renegotiate lower fees than their current offer.
