Archive Dive – Pitt Panthers #H2P

Pitt enjoyed a successful 2007-08 season as it captured the 2008 Big East Tournament title and set school records for consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (seventh) and consecutive 20-victory seasons (seventh). Pitt also became the only Big East program to win at least 20 overall games (27) and 10 league games (10) in each of the last seven seasons. Pitt honored its four seniors—Keith Benjamin, Mike Cook, Maurice Polen and Ronald Ramon—prior to the group’s final home game at the Petersen Events Center on March 9, 2008. Pitt celebrated its Big East tournament title on the floor at Madison Square Garden before before ending the season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
