JuJu Watkins, Paige Bueckers put on a dazzling show in USC-UConn clash

It was a remarkable, special, memorable night in women’s college basketball. USC did not go to the Final Four, but if you love hoops and you love interesting, compelling sports competitions, you had to admire and respect what you saw in the Elite Eight. After Caitlin Clark dominated for Iowa against Angel Reese and LSU, USC’s JuJu Watkins went up against Paige Bueckers of UConn in another regional final involving two super-duperstars. This matchup promised to be a real treat, and it was. These two excellent baseball players covered themselves in glory, shining on the brightest stage. JuJu Watkins lost the game but won a ton of added respect. Paige Bueckers, whose career has been derailed by injuries, got off the mat to return to the Final Four, a display of signature brilliance she worked very hard to create.
