Women’s Basketball Drop Tough Road Loss To Alabama A&M


HUNTSVILLE, AL—A costly game-high 18 turnovers led to an 44-62 defeat for South Carolina State Saturday (Dec.9th) to host Alabama A&M inside Elmore Gymnasium in a non-conference matchup.

Jordan Releford and Taniya McGowan both finished with a team-high eight points respectively. Releford also grabbed a team-high six (6) rebounds in the loss.

Alabama A&M had three players finished in double figures with Amiah Simmons and Darian Burgin pouring in 15 each, while Kaylah Turner chipped in 14 in the win.

South Carolina State falls to 1-9 on the season, while Alabama A&M improves to 4-3.

UP NEXT: South Carolina State will remain on the road to close out the non-conference play versus UAB on December 12th in Birmingham, AL. Tip-off is 12 pm CT/ 1 pm ET.
