FROM THE JUMP – Trip Up North Against Saint Joseph’s, Coppin State


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women’s basketball finishes its heavy road stretch with a pair of road games in the northeastern region with a matchup against Saint Joseph’s on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 12 p.m., followed by a game against Coppin State two days later on Monday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m.

Both matchup will be broadcasted on ESPN+. Updates for the games will be made through live stats, as well as on X at OspreyWBB and on Instagram at OspreysWBB.


FROM THE JUMP

  • Picked up its second win of the season and its first win since the season home opener against Trinity Baptist on Thursday, Nov. 9.
  • Will be final pair of matchups to finish up a stretch of six road stops in the past seven games played.
  • Searching to earn its first win against a D-I foe over the first weekend of December.
  • The game against Saint Joseph’s will be played in Philadelphia, Pa., while Coppin State will host its game in Baltimore, Md.
  • Looks to pick up their first road win of the year as well in its fifth and sixth attempts in non-conference play.
  • Kaila Rougier is coming off her second career double-double performance with 16 points and a career-high 14 rebounds this past Wednesday against TBC.
  • She currently leads the team in scoring average with 11.9 PPG, while Lyric Swann is the only other double-digit scorer at 10.8 PPG.
  • Selma Elkund and Emma Broermann have been the big bodies for the Ospreys on the boards both averaging over five RPG.
  • Jayla Adams continues to dish out the ball as well efficiently with a 5.0 APG mark.
  • Both teams that the Ospreys will be playing this weekend also have bird nicknames (Redhawks & Eagles).

Saint Joseph’s

  • The Redhawks enter this Saturday’s matchup with an impeccable 6-0 overall record.
  • Five of their six wins this season have been on the road, as they will play its first home game since the season opener against Rider.
  • In its five-game road stretch, they have defeated Yale, Penn, Drexel, Temple and Bucknell.
  • Saint Joseph’s was picked second in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, while a trio of Hawks landed on the Preseason All-Conference Team.
