NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team opens a three-game week this Monday at Memorial Gymnasium, as the Commodores are set to take on Alabama State. Tipoff against the Hornets is set for 1 p.m. and will stream live on SEC Network+.
Starting Five
>> Vanderbilt enters Monday’s matchup against Alabama State a perfect 4-0. The Dores picked up a 77-74 victory over Western Kentucky inside Memorial Gymnasium this past Wednesday.
>> The Commodores will be seeking a 5-0 start for the second-straight season this Monday at Memorial Gymnasium. The last time Vanderbilt started 5-0 in back-to-back seasons came during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 campaigns.
>> Vandy is 18-3 at home against nonconference opponents under head coach Shea Ralph. The Dores have won six-straight home games against teams from outside of the SEC. Vanderbilt has also won nine of its last 10 home games against nonconference opponents. The Commodores are 27-14 overall against non-league foes in the Ralph era.
>> Monday will be the third matchup ever between Vanderbilt and Alabama State. The Commodores have won both games against the Hornets. The last meeting came on Dec. 28, 2021, in Nashville, with Vandy collecting a 94-52 victory.
>> Vanderbilt comes into Monday’s matchup as one of 64 undefeated teams in NCAA Division I. The Commodores are also one of five SEC teams with a perfect record this season.

Big Three
Vanderbilt had three players collect a double-double in Wednesday’s 77-74 win over Western Kentucky. Graduate student Jordyn Cambridge had a 13-rebound, 11-point performance, while fellow graduate student Jordyn Oliver posted 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Sacha Washington collected her third-straight double-double in the win over the Hilltoppers with a 16-point, 10-rebound effort.
