Late Thursday afternoon, Wisconsin guard Jordan Davis entered the transfer portal. Davis struggled to find his rhythm as a starter in the Badgers’ first 16 games, before being replaced in the starting lineup by true freshman guard Connor Essegian against Penn State.

The La Crosse, Wis., native became a solid sixth man for Wisconsin as the season went on and was often a catalyst for the Badgers to break out of their scoring droughts. He averaged 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this past season with Wisconsin.
It is disappointing to lose Davis and his production off the bench, but a fresh start with more potential to grow in a starting role is likely in his best interest. Connor Essegian commented on Twitter about the news, mentioning Davis’ kindness as a teammate and wishing him success in the future.
Just wanted to put this out here that it’s all love from this side. Brodie took me in as his own and let me sleep on his couch when I first got to campus. Go be great fam🤞🏽 https://t.co/kgOYqYrN26
