The Golden State Warriors dropped to .500 on the season on Saturday night in Memphis, where the Grizzlies handed the defending champions their 11th consecutive road loss. The Warriors now have 29 losses on the road this season, the most in the NBA.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson didn’t deliver on either end in what was the second night of a back-to-back, combining for just 30 points. Thompson posted a plus-minus of -30, the worst mark of any player in the game.
Jonathan Kuminga did his best to keep the Warriors in the game from off the bench, tying his season-high with 24 points, but the Warriors’ defense couldn’t produce the necessary stops in the fourth quarter. Curry brought the Warriors within two points with 9:41 remaining, but the Grizzlies responded with a 21-3 run to seal the win.

Mike Brown might be COTY just for what happened to Warriors’ defense without him. Let alone what he’s done with the Kings 🤣

Give up a big lead early.
Go on a mini run.
Down 10+ at the half.
Cut it to 1 possession late.
Go cold the rest of the way.
Loss.
Rinse and repeat.
