Celtics’ Paul Pierce updates account of infamous ‘wheelchair game’

The Englewood native explained that the doctor told him not to put weight on it, but he tested it out himself, feeling confident he could play on it. “I stood up, and I was like ‘Man, let me see how this feels. Alright, alright. It’s cool, it’s cool.’”

“They didn’t let me put any weight on it, so when I put the weight on it I knew I was cool. I was like alright, I’m good, give me the knee brace because it felt kind of loose.”

We aren’t able to confirm or deny this latest version from Pierce about that day, but if we are being honest, we find this explanation a little more plausible than the one previously offered by The Truth.
