NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets hosted the Sacramento Kings at Barclays Center on Thursday to face off for the second and final time this season and lost 101-96. The Kings win the regular-season series 2-0.
For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 23 points and four rebounds while Spencer Dinwiddie had 18 points and seven assists. Nic Claxton had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Seth Curry had 14 points off the bench.

Final: Nets fall to the Kings 101-96. The Nets got outrebounded 57-41 and had just three offensive rebounds. No second-chance points. That counted down the stretch. Nets had some looks to shift the momentum but couldn’t hit them. Nuggets come to town Sunday for another big one.

The Nets shot a better percentage than Sacramento from the field and three. Two areas were the difference in this one:
Rebounding and transition.
Kings grabbed 16 offensive boards to the Nets’ zero, won the second-chance points battle 16-0.
Also won fastbreak points 11-0.
