Louisville trending for five-star target ahead of decision

Hubert Davis watches five-star on Sunday

The recruitment for five-star small forward Trentyn Flowers will officially end on Friday as he will pledge his verbal commitment to a program.

The Combine Academy product out of Charlotte has 31 total offers in his recruitment but narrowed his list down to Louisville, UNC, Alabama, Arkansas, Creighton and Kansas. But as he’s set to make his decision, one team appears to be trending for him.

Per the 247Sports crystal ball, it’s the Louisville Cardinals who hold the lead going into decision day and many believe it will be his choice come Friday afternoon. The Cardinals are in a position to land the talented forward after landing transfer guard Skyy Clark out of Illinois on Thursday.

For North Carolina, while they are a finalist for Flowers they appear to have cooled off in this recruitment.

UNC has a four-man class already for the 2024 class and when they picked up a few commitments in January, it pretty much ended their pursuit of the forward.

The Tar Heels are still pursuing five-star Jarin Stevenson as the final piece to the 2024 class, however.
