Alabama MBB sits at No. 2

Tide knock off rival Auburn in Neville Arena

Alabama men’s basketball’s road loss to the Tennessee Volunteers didn’t hurt the Crimson Tide all too much, as the team fell only one spot to No. 2 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. A win over Georgia by almost 50 points may have played a role in keeping the program in the top two.

The Crimson Tide, now 23-4 overall with an in-conference record of 13-1, received six first-place votes. However, Houston received 24.

This Wednesday, Alabama will take on South Carolina before coming back home for a Saturday afternoon matchup against Arkansas.
