Panthers Fall On Senior Day To #10 Notre Dame


PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women’s basketball team (10-17, 3-13 ACC) fell on Sunday afternoon to #10 Notre Dame by the score of 83-43.

Prior to Sunday’s game, the Panthers honored their six seniors, Dayshanette Harris, Amber Brown, Emy Hayford, Cynthia Ezeja, Destiny Strother and Channise Lewis, as part of Senior Day at the Pete. At halftime, the Panthers also retired Jennifer Bruce’s #12 jersey. She became the second Pitt women’s basketball player to have her jersey retired, joining Lorri Johnson’s #24.

Brown led the Panthers in scoring in the loss as she netted 13 points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist while going 5-for-7 from the floor. It marked her 13th time scoring in double figures on the year. Strother earned the start and finished with eight points while connecting on a pair of triples while Maliyah Johnson finished with six points and four rebounds in the loss.
