VCU (18-7; 9-3 A10) was unable to close the gap in the second half as the Rams fell to the Dayton Flyers, 62-58.

Dayton opened the game with a free throw and a 1-0 lead, but VCU rattled off a 7-0 run to take their first lead of the night.

Camara extended the Flyers lead to 7 points as he opened the second half with another triple.

The Rams clawed their way back into the game, and a free throw from Jalen DeLoach put the Rams on top, 45-44.

But a layup by Camara just a few minutes later would give the Flyers their final lead change of the night.

DeLoach was able to finished the night with 11 points and a team-high 9 rebounds.

Camara put in a game-high performances with his 26 point and 15 rebound double-double.

On the night, the Rams connected on just 10 of their 20 attempts from the free throw line.

Ace Baldwin connected on both of his free throw attempts, but was unable to find his mark from distance tonight. Baldwin once again led the Rams with scoring as he dropped in 14 points on 6-21 shooting from the floor.

In three of the last four games the Rams have faced off again a Top-4 team in the A10. In those games the Rams have now gone 1-2.

VCU will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 15 as they head North to Rhode Island to take on their namesake Rams squad.
