Arkansas basketball unveils new uniforms with ‘Slobbering Hog’ logo

2008 was the last time that Arkansas fans saw the classic “Slobbering Hog” logo at midcourt in Bud Walton Arena.

That logo is synonymous with Nolan Richardson and the “40 Minutes of Hell” teams that he coached in the 1990s. Since then, Arkansas has had the official Razorback logo at midcourt in Bud Walton Arena, but that hasn’t stopped fans from clamoring for the throwback logo’s return.

Well those fans are in for a treat when Arkansas takes the floor against Kentucky on Tuesday night in Rupp Arena.

The Razorbacks will be debuting another new uniform, this time with the “Slobbering Hog” logo prominently displayed across the chest in place of the traditional wordmarks. Eric Musselman tweeted out a preview of the new uniforms late Monday afternoon.

Arkansas basketball hasn’t been afraid to switch up their look this season. This will be the 12th different uniform the team has worn, but the first new uniform since they debuted all-pink versions a couple of weeks ago against LSU.

Arkansas and Kentucky will tip-off tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. CT on ESPN.
